Helen Bailey

Dip.C (Inst NH) DIP TA (SAC) Dip NLP MSFTR, MOC

Helen has spent 19 years in Local Government and has many years experience in working with the public and in a community development setting. She was the Supervisor overseeing a project run jointly with Adept & the City Council delivering a Community Development trainee scheme. She is a Community Champion for Every Action counts, which is run by BTCV, and is very interested in Environmental issues. She is also qualified to facilitate the Steps programme for the Pacific Institute, which helps people to improve, change and challenge negative thought patterns. She has also studied Neuro Linguistic Programming, Transaction Analysis and has undertaken a Diploma in Counselling.

Helen believes passionately about lifelong learning and has studied continuously for the last 21 years. She has attended Coventry University studying Community Development and Manchester University studying for her HNC. She has also completed her NEBSM Management course and a level three NVQ in Customer Services. She is qualified to City & Guilds 7304 Certificate and 7305 Diploma level in teaching adult learners. More recently she completed a Skills for Sustainability project in which she explored the business idea of starting up a social enterprise in the field of care farming.

She is a parish Councillor for her local Parish of Consall and is committed to community involvement.

Helen also owns a small holding which she runs with her husband, and in the summer of 2007 opened a small caravan & camping site. She originated from Sheffield in South Yorkshire but moved to Staffordshire in 1987, and has three children and nine grandchildren.
